I do not pursue Weight Weenie-ness as a pastime so I am fairly out-of-the-loop so far as what’s even doable these days…so after I met a man on a membership experience as we speak sporting a beautiful, fashionable, fully-appointed 12-speed street bike that tipped the scales at 10lbs 6oz, I used to be gobsmacked!
His wheelset weighed half of what my lightest pair weigh!
His saddle weighed half of what the lightest saddle I’ve ever even heard about weighs!
It was fairly astonishing.
