Classic Norton Bikes: Dick Lawton?

–SG– Again in 1995 Beaded Wheels (New Zealand) printed the above picture of an unknown rider, taken at an Otaki Seashore sand racing occasion within the thirties. Thanks are as a consequence of Peter Thomson, who has offered materials for a number of attention-grabbing postings about New Zealand velocity occasions prior to now. Peter has executed some analysis for me within the Thomson Motor  Museum archive and has provide you with Dick Lawton (on the left of the picture beneath) because the possible  rider of this 1926-ish Mannequin 18. 

To cite from Peter’s message: “Richard ‘Dick’ Lawton labored for Tolley and Spence is his youthful days and later owned a bike enterprise in partnership with Don Boyle – Lawton and Boyle. Dick was a tuner of fairly some reputation and within the Seventies received the eye of the Suzuki manufacturing unit, when he actually received their two-strokes going, ably ridden by Geoff Perry.”

Peter has despatched a number of different Norton associated photographs, primarily taken at Seashore racing occasions is the late forties, and so they would be the topic of a separate posting.
