How to Install Dirt Bike Grips?

Begin by removing the old dirt bike grips. If they’re still stuck tightly to the handlebars, you can loosen them up with a screwdriver and then pull them off.

Clean the handlebar of dirt and grime, then position your new ones in place and tighten down.

Carefully Cut

If you have an old grip on your dirt bike and want to install a new one, take caution. First of all, make sure that it is safe for both yourself as well as the handlebar since they might get scratched during installation if done incorrectly or quickly with no patience!

I recommend using something like this paper knife which we can put between our fingers tightly at first. Then slowly peel away from each other in order not to damage either party too much while getting rid of excess material so there are fewer chances involved when installing another set later down the road.

It’s important to keep your blade safe. If you want a quick way of disposal, throw away the old grip and seal it in a trash bin or cupboard where nobody will find it for at least three days after installation is complete!

Clean the Handlebar

After reading the steps, take a soft clean towel and put some lubricant oil, glycerine, acetone solution on it.

Let it soak in preparation for your next task: cleaning off any rust or dust from metal parts with this wet cloth before polishing them up so they shine anew!

If there are stubborn residues that won’t budge after using another method such as kitchen knives (if necessary), then use tissues instead to wipe away all signs of dirtiness.

Metal Glue Works

One of the best ways to make your dart bike grips stronger and stiffer is by applying glue on handlebars before installing them.

You can find many metal interacted glues in local hardware stores or online marketplaces, so order a good one for yourself now!

A tip I also recommend wrap each side with 1-2 turns of electrical tape at least once (it will increase its durability).

To get the dirt bike grip handlebars secured, I used solvent glue on electrical sticky tape. After a little while of waiting for it to dry harden up (it’s important you do this quickly or else).

Put some extra taping at one end as shown above in grey colour and then install grip when ready!

Safety Wires

Junior dirt bike riders should invest in some safety wires for their handlebars. If you can find 4mm aluminium wire, it is best to use this instead of nothing at all!

Just loop the end around your grip and twist them together into a tight spiral shape so that there are no gaps between turns tightly wound up on either side as shown above.

Then secure them by tying off with an overhand knot (or more). Be very careful when tightening the wire ends with pliers.

Make sure it doesn’t bother your hand for any injuries and cut off any rough edges so they don’t hurt you in use!

Buyers Guide for Best Dirt Bike Grips:

Here are some factors you need to consider before buying the best dirt bike grips:

Comfortability & Feelings:

If you’re making an effort to maintain the correct grip, it won’t matter what type of ones are installed. In case your hands and arms feel like they’re dragging after even short rides with incorrect grips on board? That’s a clear indication that there is something wrong!

Wrong handlebar positions can lead to uncomfortable situations for riders which will ultimately cause them pain in their body parts such as shoulders or neck muscles.

Being strained from extended pressure put onto them by way too slippery surfaces while riding dirt bikes through rough terrain something.

We all need not enjoys doing every day but still must do because our lives depend upon getting around safely each time without having any accidents along our journey.

Durability:

Grips are a critical piece to the performance of your dirt bike and they need to be taken care of in order for them not only last but also perform at their best.

Grippy compound grip brands like Ralph or Smith can make all the difference when held against other components such as handlebars, tires etc.,

While inexpensive generic grips might wear out quickly with time due to both how soft they’re made versus harder compounds on more expensive models.

Which could lead you down an unnecessary path if no one has informed you about this ahead!

Price:

If you have a hard time choosing between two different types of grip, it’s always best to go with the one that suits your needs.

Since there are many benefits and drawbacks depending on which kind you choose, I’ll explain what each has for me in my game style regular or soft is usually better.

Since they wear longer before needing replacement due to surface damage from playing too much shortstop (or whatever position).

If this doesn’t apply then stick with something more durable like leather so long as its colour matches!
