Bandit Rider: Winter gravel

 …is the perfect!

With that intensive upkeep and farkling full, Sunday was the day to place the T7 by her paces.  As per ordinary Colin needed to get in on the act and dragged Andy alongside too.

Leaving my place, we street tarmac throughout to Cheltenham and up previous Beaconsfield the place we finally hit some gravel on Beaconsfield Valley Highway.

Additional up the street we began to drop down the hill on Higher Pakihikura Highway and I actually loved the experience by right here all the way in which again to the seal on Otara Highway.  The views are nice and the gravel was largely quick with the odd little slippery bit to maintain issues fascinating – great things.

Not lengthy after the bridge crossing we have been out onto SH1 for a brief cruise as much as Mangaweka the place I received gas and all of us received espresso and ummmm, pies.

After popping over the hill, we turned off once more and made for some our favorite gravel by to the summit of the Napier-Taihape.  No snow (besides the odd bit in shady spots) however as soon as once more the gravel was mint and once more included the odd little slippery shock.

After failing me thus far, the GoPro determined to play ball on the final part as much as the Napier-Taihape and as you possibly can see it was fairly quick, enjoyable gravel.  Video not the perfect – blame YouTube…

Ford at round 6:00.

A couple of weeks in the past Colin and Andy went by right here and could not cross the ford because it was in main flood.  Perhaps all of the harm was brought on then:

From the summit, we turned in the direction of Taihape however managed to get in some extra gravel on Moawhango Valley Highway.  I hadn’t ridden this in ages but it surely was properly price it and like many of the different gravel on the experience – quick and enjoyable.  There was simply that one shock one lane bridge that stepped out in entrance of me…

Again in Taihape the KTM’s wanted gas and the riders wanted espresso so we hit the BP earlier than wandering on down the street a bit and turning East simply South of Utiku.  After a little bit of seal we received in some extra gravel on Auputa Highway.

Auputa received us again onto the seal simply out of Rangiwahia however we skipped Rangi and headed across the Manawatu Scenic Path to Apiti.  Ran right into a small street block alongside the way in which.

The run from Apiti alongside Ridge Highway to Pohangina was our final little bit of gravel and whereas it was run, there was a little bit of visitors on the street and the low solar was a little bit of a ache as we street out and in of shaded spots.

Again at my place we had one other espresso whereas discussing the awesomeness of the experience.  One other goodee within the books.
